Prisión y sociedad disciplinaria

Abstract

Michel Foucault’s studies about the beginning of prison are under the context of his research studies about Disciplinary Society. This society is the condition of an historical possibility on which the prison is founded. Prison is the result of the development of disciplinary power and is one more within a group of institutions where the practices of the disciplinary power expand. The society who allows the emergence of the Human Sciences is the same, in which the techniques of discipline are established.
