La gestión empresarial de las micro, pequeñas y medianas empresas del subsector metalmecánico de Cartagena en el período 2004-2010

The purpose of this article is to describe the features that characterize the management of micro, small and medium sized companies in the metal-mechanic sub-sector of Cartagena from 2004 to 2010. This paper points out administrative work aspects such as the planning, organizational structure of the surveyed companies, management and control. Finance areas are also exposed, highlighting aspects like budgetary accounting management, and financing among others. Likewise, marketing related aspects are addressed; these are pricing, product lines, advertising, etc. On the other hand, there is an assessment of the production department along with its elements, processes, technologies, quality management and others linked to this functional area. Finally, aspects linked to the human talent area are highlighted; they are personnel selection, recruitment, training, compensation and others in this area.
