Abstract

A leader makes the transformation of the individual capacities possible, which he redirects towards the strengthening of the group capacities, and therefore face the challenges that the dynamic environments pose. Before the necessity to transform society, especially the professionals that are formed at Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Medellin, to face aforementioned changes, we developed a descriptive research of the qualitative-quantitative kind, which characterizes the transformational leadership perceived by the students of their teachers, which will derive in improvement of the action, motivation, and power processes according to Osgood scale. In total 155 interviews were made to students with a 70% or more progress in their curricular program, they were used to conclude that the teachers’ leadership looks for the development and growth of the students from their pedagogical actions, orienting and communicating and generating commitment with the goals and acting in such a way that it can be registered as a model for the students.
