This research article analyzes the relevance of teleworking in travel agencies in the city of Cartagena, Co-lombia. The type of research undertaken was descriptive-analytical and a structured instrument was designed in situ, which was applied to the managers and administrators of 26 travel agencies in the tourism sector for-mally registered in the Cartagena Chamber of Commerce. As a result, it was identified that teleworking as a work alternative represents a promising future, because 58% of companies agree to implement this work alter-native, being aware of all the contributions in administrative performance, increased productivity, motivation, and disposition of the collaborators. It is concluded that 96% of travel agencies use ICTs as an important tool to increase sales and only 4% do not use them, which favors the implementation of teleworking in this sector
