In the present investigation, an analysis of mathematical models of prediction of the behavior of epidemics in social groups is carried out through an experimental modeling for the propagation of an outbreak of epidemics. For the above, different mathematical and simulation models were reviewed, which developed scenarios that included the analysis of preventive measures, through an agent-based simulation that allowed the projection of the experimental scenarios in the management of epidemics and their impact on the social context. The results show the positive impact of the use of agent-based simulation in the design and evaluation of strategies to control the behavior of contagious diseases in social groups and the orientation for decision-making in the implementation of measures of government agencies.
