Latin America and North America are the two regions where the food packaging industry is analyzed.
This article presents the analysis of the production of different food packaging materials within a period of 15 years. The quantitative methodology used is based on the Paired T-Test to test the hypothesis of the existence of a significant difference between the average production of food packaging in Latin America and North America (2002-2016). This quantitative methodology also provides an overview of the current situation of the industry in the region experiencing the increase in the production of certain types of materials, such as plastic bags, which has also opened the possibilities to produce more friendly alternative packaging. environment. Keywords Packaging industry, packaging materials, North America, Latin America, significant difference, paired T test.
