Resumo

O objetivo desta investigação é identificar os fatores de êxito e vantagens da integração da inovação aberta nas organizações, estruturando os achados dentro de um marco conceitual para a inovação organizacional, que relaciona quatro construtos considerados como determinantes da inovação - Liderança, Facilitadores de Gestão, Processos de Negócio e Modelo de Negócio. Com este propósito, foram revisados de forma sistemática os artigos publicados com o título “inovação aberta” na base de dados ISI Web of Science desde 1900 até 2013. Os resutados evidenciam que a pesar do crecente interesse pelo uso de um enfoque aberto para inovar nas organizações, nas publicações acadêmicas parece não existir uma estrutura conceitual com orientação prática sobre o tópico. Esta investigação pretende abordar esta lacuna através da realização de uma revisão sistemática sobre inovação aberta orientada aos resultados com efeitos práticos para a tomada de decisões. Os resultados mostram que a inovação aberta contribui para a redução dos custos de I+D, à melhora da gestão do conhecimento, à redução de tempos de lançamento de produtos e o aproveitamento estratégico das capacidades organizacionais. Investigações futuras sobre o tema pretendem validar a aplicação da inovação aberta en distintos contextos organizativos e aprofundarse no estudo da propriedade intelectual nos esquemas abertos para a inovação.
