Abstract

Silicosis is a lung disease caused by the inhalation of silica particles, characterized by acute inflammation in some cases and chronic inflammation in other cases. It can be associated with posterior diffuse fibrosis, leading to progressive respiratory failure.1 It is one of the most dangerous occupational diseases and is responsible for some 10,000 or more new deaths each year
