The importance of a comprehensive approach to cardiovascular risk in the work environment

The origin of cardiovascular disease has been associated with risk factors such as overweight, high blood pressure, dyslipidemia, diabetes mellitus, smoking, physical inactivity, age, and family history of cardiovascular disease, among others. Scientific studies also relate risk factors in the work environment, such as chemical agents, physical factors, biological agents and psychosocial factors, with adverse effects on the cardiovascular system or cardiovascular disease.
This article seeks to generate reflection in the scientific community on the cardiovascular effects of occupational risk factors that can be significant, often underestimated, and require the inclusion, in the prevention of cardiovascular disease in the company, of the identification, monitoring, and control of these
