Abstract

Estimate the association between the work ability and the socio-labor and demographic conditions of the Mexican conformity assessors, in 2014.Methods: Exploratory, transversal and analytical study in a sample of 90 individuals. Two instruments were applied: Work ability and a socio-labor and demographic questionnaire. We used the statistics of bivariate association and binomial logistic regression. Results: A total of 48 women and 42 men, aged 18-73 years, averaged 40.35 (± 12,277). The schooling was mostly bachelor’s degree, followed by the upper middle level and the Master’s. It was more prevalent the number of auditors with stable partners, those who had up to 2 children, and up to 2 economic dependents. There was a significant association between the work ability and the age, number of children and seniority in the post. Conclusions: Of the categories of capacity for work: poor, moderate, good and excellent; the first was not among the findings. The most prevalent was good. With more than 2 years of seniority in the position, there is a 87.6% lower probability of becoming able to work. With up to 50 years of age there is a 96.2% lower probability of reaching excellent ability and good work. And with up to 8 hours worked per day, there are 7.8 times greater probability of not reaching good and excellent working capacity.
