This work develops a compilation of the different theories around the subject from the enterprise survival, in the same stands out the works of Stigler, Enke and Johnsons, that contribute to the discussion criteria like; the multiple technique of the survivor, competition, goals and the reasonable gains, like well-known elements of the enterprise planning and that determine beyond the liberal economic rationality, the development of the enterprise activity. The previous elements, are taken as it bases to the critic of solution and survival of the companies on Colombia, researching of Arroyoy Peña (08), which shows that in the Colombian case the companies survive according to their degree of maturity over any other type of variables. Generally what it is tried is to establish that although the maturity is a critical variable, it is not to discard variables different to explain the case of the solution, but when the economy of the country is very “sugeneris” with respect to size, activity and location of the enterprise activity.
