Perspectivas sobre la cadena de valor en la agricultura: una revisión semisistemática de la literatura

La cadena de valor agrícola comprende una serie de etapas interconectadas que tienen como objetivo agregar valor a los productos alimenticios desde su producción hasta su consumo final. A lo largo de este proceso, diversos actores colaboran y contribuyen específicamente para mejorar la calidad y el valor del producto. Cada eslabón de la cadena aporta un valor agregado al producto, desde la siembra y cosecha hasta el procesamiento, transporte, comercialización y venta al consumidor. La presente revisión semisistemática de la literatura se enfoca en sintetizar y examinar los elementos más significativos en la investigación de este campo, además de discernir los debates vigentes en torno a la cadena derivada de la producción agrícola. Los resultados de este estudio revelan una variedad de temas importantes para la investigación, organizados en seis categorías principales: calidad de vida e ingresos, emprendimiento y comprensión de la cadena, contexto del mercado, innovación y tecnología, sostenibilidad y seguridad alimentaria, y los riesgos relacionados con la perecibilidad y las pérdidas postcosecha. Esta información es relevante para comprender el estado actual de la investigación y los desafíos principales que enfrentan los diversos actores que participan en la cadena de valor agrícola, desde los productores hasta los consumidores finales, por lo que abordar estos temas es crucial para mejorar eficiencia, sostenibilidad y seguridad en la cadena productiva de alimentos.
