School for parents in early childhood education: a systematization of experiences

This article presents the systematization of school experience for parents of an unofficial Kindergarten in Colombia, this school is a basic strategy for improving the quality of education and training for parents and guardians about their parental functional. This experience focused on knowledge, reflection and its improvement, also released its results for the educational community and other children’s homes. The methodology was qualitative, type systematization of experience, was participatory, as implied the involvement of various educational actors by developing educational workshops for 30 parents and guardians of children enrolled in kindergarten during the period 2012-2013, and in reconstruction of experience. The results were set situations, which most concern parents in raising their children in preschool, and reflect on their parenting styles. It is concluded, school parents addressed the family dynamics and promoted positive habits, parental roles, values and attitudes for the recognition and the integral development of children.
