Theoretical considerations on the communicative relations of subjects in the world of life

The case of youth participation in San Basilio de Palenque

Abstract

The document proposes a relevant theoretical approach to conceptually think about the interactions of the youth groups of San Basilio de Palenque. This is a conceptual contribution that is part of the development of the doctoral research entitled “Experiences of youth participation in San Basilio de Palenque (Bolívar, Colombia): A hermeneutical approach from the postulates of communication for social change,” whose main task proposes the interpretation of the constructions of meaning that shape the youth culture of participation and Palenquero interaction. For this purpose, the article explores the fundamentals of the concepts of youth, world of life, participation, citizenship and communication, central to the theoretical investment in research.
