Abstract

This research article aims to socialize and present the adaptation of Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques or earned value management, such as Earned Schedule (ES) or schedule earned in the control processes of the planning department of the Military School of Non-commissioned officers Sergeant Inocencio Chincá (EMSUB). Recognizing these techniques for project monitoring and control, which allow knowing the status of the project, comparing it with the baseline for performance measurement; in addition to generating forecasts based on the work done so far. The objective of this research was to adapt these techniques to the control processes of the EMSUB planning department. To achieve this, "The Standard for Earned Value Management" of the Project Management Institute was used, in which the process of applying this technique is described, to then carry out an analysis on which indicators could be used and would be useful for the process of control, finally, the adaptation of the techniques based on the needs of the department was carried out. Because of the research, it was obtained that the cost indicators of the tool were not applicable to the control department, due to this, only schedule and scope indicators were used. Finally, a Control Dashboard was delivered to the planning department, with all the key indicators of EVM and ES; this managed to improve the indicators of time and scope of the department from one period to another significantly.
