Abstract

Two hydrothermal systems were characterized, located respectively in Ciénaga (Magdalena) and Becerril (Cesar), detailing geological components such as local faults and fluid mixing zone. Through the proportion of carbonates, sulfates and chlorides, two different conditions of caloric intake were established, in Becerril at a depth of 3 meters referred to the base of emanation, the temperatures oscillate between (30-34) ° C, being enriched by phases of carbonate (CaCO3) conditioning the origin of the fluid to heating by burial, qualifying it as a Low Enthalpy Hydrothermal Spring (Low Potential), the data in Ciénaga at 4 meters deep referred to the emanation base, have temperatures between (41-45) ° C, with a predominance of (SO4) in the solution, in addition to crushed material from the surrounding formations, suggests geological conditions of the fault zone, heated by a vapor phase mixed with surface waters, establishing itself as a Middle Enthalpy fissure (Medium -Low potential).
