Abstract

This article presents the design of a machine-tool for machining of rubber. Initially poses a methodology for finding the rubber strain and then determines an appropriate tension driving (stress motor). The above features define the dimensions of the construction elements of lathe and directly offer the points of application of forces and their magnitudes in service. Then, is generated the machine geometry, it is discretized and it was simulated under the loads estimated by using the SolidWorks® and ANSYS® tools, which, given the charted of stress, deformation and safety factor.
