Abstract

The research focuses on designing a cost tool that handles and delivers process or on-line costing results in a matrix in a manner that is simple and easy to understand. This matrix has been developed and tested by the paper’s authors along with accounting students in several Mypimes and it has demonstrated its ease so the student understands and the businessperson can use it with financial information. The FHER matrix system (Spanish acronym for horizontal form to establish results in a process costing system) is an innovative and easy methodological manner to calculate unit costs per product in a process or on-line costing system. This matrix model facilitates learning about process or on-line costing for students since the traditional matrixes show the process model in complex form.
