The theoretical recent developments show that the decisions to the interior of the homes arise from the interaction between the individual preferences of every member with regard to the consumption of goods, but also they depend on the use of his time, of the budgetary restriction of the home and of the process of negotiation that takes place to the interior of this one. Since proved from these decisions it is possible to determine the expense added of the home in different goods and services, the labor participation and the distribution of the income of his members. For this reason, from this investigation it is intended to seek to evaluate empirically, by using of the collective models approach, the process of decision of the homes in Colombia, with particular emphasis in the decision of labor offer. The results show that the spouse who has major income is the one who determines his distribution to the interior of the home and that the woman obtains great part of the not labor income of the home. These facts affect in a significant way in the labor offer of all the members of the home.
