This study aims to comprehend the entrepreneurial drive of university students in departamento del Meta, recognizing entrepreneurship as a pivotal factor for economic growth and development, the study also acknowledges the significance of women entrepreneurship. The latter has gained momentum through female business empowerment, reducing the disparity between genders in establishing companies.
The primary goal is to determine the level of entrepreneurial initiative among undergraduate female university students in Villavicencio. This is achieved by characterizing and describing entrepreneurial initiatives and establishing levels to determine the position of the chosen population.
The research employs a descriptive and quantitative exploratory approach with a sample of 626 cisgender women undergraduate students. The instrument used is validated, with a Cronbach's Alpha of 0.82, and the database developed by the project is utilized to apply the form.
The study discovered that the most influential motivation for entrepreneurship is profitability or financial freedom, with an average rating of 5 out of 7. Hypotheses on the existing differences were tested through the Mann-Whitney U test.
