Progress of the Military Forces of Colombia in relation to gender equality, differential approach, and gender-based violence prevention

Abstract

This article aims at showing the progress that the Military Forces of Colombia have achieved in the insertion of concepts such as gender equality, differential approach, and gender-based violence in their operation and functions manuals. As a conclusion, it is that the use of these concepts needs to go beyond public policies, since challenges related to gender equality, as well as to the institutional organization of the country and their processes, have been unveiled.
