Applicability of the Transitional Justice. Experience in the Colombian and Rwandan Conflicts

This article addresses, through an analytical-descriptive methodology, the issue of the implementa-tion of transitional justice in the Colombian and Rwandan conflicts, in order to demonstrate the positive experiences derived from the application of this mechanism in other contexts of the international field. This, given the challenges that have arisen within the inter-institutional apparatus of the Colombian State with the implementation since 2011 of this type of justice. Our analysis is divided into three chapters: in the first, a theoretical approach to the conceptualization of the transitional justice mechanism is developed; in the second, it is explained how transitional justice has been applied in Colombia, and in the third, the development of the Rwandan conflict and the means implemented in that country to repair the rights of its victims are analyzed.
