Occupational safety and health management systems (SG-SST) aim to provide a method to assess and improve results in preventing incidents and accidents through effective management of hazards and risks on site of work. It is a logical and sequential method of deciding what needs to be done, and the best way to do it, to monitor progress towards achieving established goals, assess the effectiveness of measures taken, and identify areas for improvement. It can and should be able to adapt to changes in the organization's activity and legislative requirements.1 The SG-SST generates a positive impact in the prevention of occupational diseases, promotes healthy work environments and reduces potential costs generated by accidents, additional , promotes a culture of safety and continuous improvement at different levels of the organization, these management systems are considered as one of the most important tools for the effective management of the level of occupational risk in organizations, the prevention of disease and the improvement of the quality of life of the working population.Downloads
