Administrative workers are subject to multiple risks caused by prolonged postures and maintained in front of video terminals and tasks that require repeated movements of fingering and manual writing.
Objective: To determine the musculoskeletal morbidity and physical load risk in 30 workers in the typing area.
Results: We found back pain as the most prevalent (56.7%) followed by neck pain (26.7%), 80% of the population is at high risk by physical burden. There are individual factors such as sedentarism, which are being highly conditioning for the presence of musculoskeletal morbidity. A statistically significant relationship was found between the presence of OTM morbidity and the risk by physical load (p: 0.001).
Conclusion: The physical load is related to the presence of musculoskeletal pain.
