Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo examinar a relação entre a notoriedade da rota de proximidade Villavicencio-Restrepo (Meta) e a decisão das pessoas de repetir a exploração do território, considerando as disparidades econômicas dos demandantes. Além disso, busca conhecer as percepções dos atores turísticos locais em relação ao turismo de proximidade e como essa atividade impactou suas condições econômicas e sociais. O tratamento e a interpretação das informações foram realizados sob uma metodologia híbrida. Em termos de notoriedade, a rota está presente na memória territorial dos moradores locais que a visitam, mas são as pessoas de baixa renda que a consideram uma opção acessível que lhes permite se aproximar das práticas culturais e apreciar a paisagem; portanto, elas demonstram maior interesse em retornar. A rota é percebida pelos moradores locais como uma fonte de renda, mas sua exploração turística traz problemas que afetam a convivência e o meio ambiente.
