Resumen

Objetivo: Identificar los requisitos para la aplicación de la calidad total en el sistema educativo universitario a la luz de la revolución informática y tecnológica. Métodos: Se utilizó el enfoque cualitativo analítico descriptivo, cuyas limitaciones se ciñen a las instituciones de educación superior. Resultados: El estudio concluyó la necesidad de un sistema educativo factible y eficaz, centrado en el estudiante a través de su interacción y participación activa, en el que las tecnologías informáticas y de la comunicación representadas en las redes locales y la Internet global juegan un papel prometedor basado en el concepto y la filosofía de la calidad total en la educación. Conclusiones: Se concluye que la naturaleza de la empresa moderna requiere que las instituciones educativas y académicas preparen a los estudiantes con un conjunto de habilidades diferentes a las adoptadas por el antiguo sistema educativo. La forma de las instituciones educativas será muy diferente a la actual, y la forma del aula será diferente, de modo que habrá un ordenador para cada estudiante, y los departamentos de las facultades podrán comunicarse con diferentes bibliotecas para obtener lo que deseen de referencias, materiales científicos o software educativo, y la forma del curso será diferente a la habitual. Es probable que se sustituya por un disquete o un disco óptico, y habrá un nuevo tipo de profesor y de estudiantes.
