Abstract

This document proposes the development of a research proposal based on self-care at the natural spa at Fundación Social Salud Holística (FSSH) where various healing practices of ancestral wisdom are brought together using natural elements, such as water, air, fire, and earth, to provide care for health and life from a perspective of relational thinking, with the participation, in this case, of students from the Specializations in Critical Care, Wounds, and Ostomies in the nursing major at Universidad del Valle and from the Holistic Care program at Universidad Libre (Libre University). The systemization process will entail the use of a creative research approach with its methodological moments and field instruments - log, card, sheet, and matrix - to gather information about the experiences of the relevant stakeholders in each phase of this process during the course of implementation of natural health practices, based on what is simple, easy, and elementary to maintain health and life. These four phases are permeated by various inter-related practices which are set on stage based on an allegory of a swirl which, in a continuous forward-backward movement, incorporates personal experiences turning to feelings, perceptions, understanding, and transformation for self-care. These include practices such as dance, exercising, body language, conscious breathing, meditation, visualization, healing nutrition, use of hydrotherapy techniques, mud therapy, heat therapy, labyrinth, massaging, and healing touch, all of which are accompanied by moments of reflection and analysis in order to trigger cognitive and vital processes in an organization that learns during the course of a lifetime.
