Abstract

In a globalized world and in an open market like the one we are living in these times, competitiveness, differentiation and value added, are forced terms of discussion and determinants of business strategies and tactics [1]. Knowledge is recognized as the main source of value creation in contemporary organizations [2], so the human resources have become the main resource for organizations. The purpose of this paper is to present the design and validation of process architecture for a competency model from the process management approach, to strengthen the management of human pointing competitiveness. We used a descriptive-qualitative research methodology and results were obtained from the application of Ferreteria Metropolis tool, a hardware store leader in the sale of building materials and general items in Barranquilla and Colombiaʼs North Coast
