About the Journal

The Interdisciplinary Journal of Epidemiology and Public Health (iJEPH) is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal, and welcomes articles on different subjects on epidemiology, public health and preventive medicine.  All the articles are published in English.

The journal follows the guidelines of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) (http://www.icmje.org/), and all the ethics considerations entailed in both editing and publication processes (http://www.icmje.org/recommendations/).  Additionally, it adheres to the recommendations by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to guarantee the editorial process transparency.  Moreover, regarding the responsibilities of each member of both the editorial committee and the editorial process, it is taken into account the journal independence from our university and from any other public or state institution concerning publishing decisions (http://www.icmje.org/recommendations/browse/roles-and-responsibilities/journal-owners-and-editorial-freedom.html).

All the articles submitted to the journal are evaluated for the detection of plagiarism, and they are evaluated by external national and international peers, and by suitable professors of our institution.  This process is in accordance with the principles established by ICMJE for peer review (http://www.icmje.org/recommendations/browse/roles-and-responsibilities/responsibilities-in-the-submission-and-peer-peview-process.html).
