Author Guidelines

The Interdisciplinary Journal of Epidemiology and Public Health (iJEPH) (ISSN 2665-427X) is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal and welcomes articles on different subjects on epidemiology, public health, and preventive medicine. All the articles are published in English.
The journal follows the guidelines of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) (http://www.icmje.org/), and all the ethics considerations entailed in both editing and publication processes (http://www.icmje.org/recommendations/). Additionally, it adheres to the recommendations by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to guarantee the editorial process transparency. Moreover, regarding the responsibilities of each member of both the editorial committee and the editorial process, it is taken into account the journal independence from our university and from any other public or state institution concerning publishing decisions (http://www.icmje.org/recommendations/browse/roles-and-responsibilities/journal-owners-and-editorial-freedom.html).
All the articles submitted to the journal are evaluated for the detection of plagiarism, and they are evaluated by external national and international peers, and by suitable professors of our institution. This process is in accordance with the principles established by ICMJE for peer review (http://www.icmje.org/recommendations/browse/roles-and-responsibilities/responsibilities-in-the-submission-and-peer-peview-process.html).

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published or has it been submitted to any other journal
  • The authors and their affiliations do not appear in the archive to preserve the blind by reviewer -Do not forget to put in the metadata all the authors, ORCID, the respective affiliations and in the order in which authors should appear. From there, will be taken for the final publication
  • All authors must have orcid and were placed in the metadata and cover sheet
  • Authors made a conflict of interest declaration
  • The references must be in vancouver, put the doi to each one of them
  • The authors stated their contribution in the paper, in a paragraph called “contribution”.
  • The text is 1.5 spaced; 12 points of font size; italics are used instead of underlining (except in URLs); and all the illustrations, figures and tables are referenced in the text.
  • If the article is pre-printed, the web page where it appears should be placed in a note within the document.
  • Take into account if you use artificial intelligence in reserach or any section of the article. You must declare it in the article

Short Report

A brief document presenting original results, whether preliminary, partial or not, of a scientific or technological research, which generally require prompt dissemination

Review and case report

With this type of article, priority will be given to the review of the topic and it will be supported by the case report
 

Technology and Health

They are articles that relate technological advances such as applications, new processes, programs and health
 

Experiences

They will be personal experiences achieved by professional praxis and that can help enrich the professional daily life of health workers
