Ethical principles

The Interdisciplinary Journal of Epidemiology and Public Health  is a peer-reviewed journal. It follows the editorial guidelines and adjusts the editorial process as proposed by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) (http://www.icmje.org/). Additionally, it includes ethical considerations to ensure a transparent editorial process (http://www.icmje.org/recommendations/) and therefore follows the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) (http://publicationethics.org), WAME's recommendations for the use of artificial intelligence during research and article writing (https://wame.org/page3.php?id=106)  and, the process of retractation using the COPE guia (https://publicationethics.org/news/copes-retraction-guidelines-2019) .

The members of the editorial committee and the editorial process are completely independent from the University (http://www.icmje.org/recommendations/browse/roles-and-responsibilities/journalowners-and-editorial-freedom.html).
