Abstract

This article presents important characteristics that are part of the consumer trends in today’s society. First, we will focus on reviewing the relation between the consumption phenomena and culture, social class, reference groups and family. Then, we will review the sociological explanations that elucidate the difference behaviors observed in consumption.
