A current and relevant topic in the field of Occupational Health is the preparation for retirement. In the past, retiring was a topic that did not have much importance in our Latin American context; However, according to Moragas et al, (2006), this is a fundamental issue due to the number of people it affects and the many years that they will live as retirees.1 Likewise, the topic involves complex questions about how The new generation of retirees will affect society. These questions must be answered with broad social policies, based on individual preferences. Given the lack of universal retirement policies, currently characterized by low amounts and little coverage, as an immediate measure, it is reasonable that some institutions and researchers interested in the problem focus on preparing the people who are going to to retire, empowering them and equipping them with the necessary tools to face the new realities that they will encounter as they move from work to retirement in the best possible way.Downloads
