The global approaches the quality management. A view from the models and excellence awards

The institution and the adjudication of quality premiums have happened practical International that favors the excellence in the administration of the organizations to achieve with effi cacy effi ciency and the competitiveness of the results and achieving a formal and public recognition to outstanding enterprises by its management models wholly advanced. In Cuba it awards from 1999 the National Premium to the Quality of the Cuba Republic. This movement has generalized for the whole country by means of the institution of Provincial Premiums of Quality. The present work presents a preliminary assessment on the organization and application of this experience at Holguin’s province, Cuba, the procedure of evaluation and adjudication, the criteria of evaluation and obtained results.
