Patrones globales de la igualdad de género: Un análisis multivariante de indicadores ODS

Resumen

En este estudio se evalúan patrones globales de la equidad de género mediante un análisis de seis indicadores de género incluidos en los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS), a partir de datos de 160 países reportados en el Informe sobre el Desarrollo Sostenible 2023. Mediante la técnica de análisis multivariante STATIS DUAL, se examinan las asociaciones existentes entre indicadores y países, identificando las diferencias o similitudes observadas. Los hallazgos revelan una división estructural: mientras que las naciones de altos ingresos avanzan en la paridad política y laboral, las regiones de menores ingresos enfrentan déficits persistentes en la salud materna y la fecundidad adolescente. En conclusión, este comportamiento estructural demuestra que el progreso en las metas de género es altamente interdependiente y desigual entre las regiones del mundo, lo que hace imposible capturarlo mediante métricas aisladas. Metodológicamente, por ello, se recomienda aplicar técnicas multivariantes para evaluar y comprender los indicadores de género globales. Desde un punto de vista interpretativo se concluye que, las políticas públicas de género y los marcos de monitoreo deben hacer una transición desde metas agregadas hacia estrategias integradas y regionalizadas que aborden simultáneamente las limitaciones de la salud reproductiva y las barreras de representación institucional para garantizar la igualdad de género y el empoderamiento de las mujeres.
