Abstract

When speaking of viable organizations from the perspective of human talent, we should not only refer to those that recruit and employ personnel efficiently and appropriately, but also to those that know how to retain them. Achieving this, while creating and maintaining a sense of belonging by the human resource, requires a series of decisions and actions at the organizational level that have to do with the remuneration system, social benefits, hygiene and safety in work, among others. The main objective of this article, the product of fieldwork carried out in a company in the solidarity sector, is to identify the relationship between compensation, human motivation and organizational efficiency and effectiveness, as well as any possible restrictions that may be present in the implementation of the new compensation policy. Among the most relevant findings of the study presented here is the identification of the importance of defining a variable compensation system that attracts, retains, and motivates workers to commit to the company's objectives.
