Analysis of the radiofrequency identification benefits in a colombian textile distribution center

The radiofrequency identification competes with the barcode in the management of the supply chain. To analyze the RFID benefits against its nearest competitor in logistics management is proposed in the development of this article, to achieve the goal we planned and executed a pilot according to the actual logistics of textile dealer. During the pilot technical analysis of the implementation of RFID technology is performed and a comparative study of times between barcode and RFID. Finally, it can be demonstrated that the benefits exceed the expectations of the company and from technical point of view; the implementation is feasible in this scenario.
