Open Access Policy

Avances: Investigación en Ingeniería, edited and financed by Universidad Libre, allows its users open access to its published material, promoting the removal of the barriers of knowledge, and favoring greater accessibility to its articles, global visibility of its authors, and diffusion of the results of research studies and new knowledge, in order to produce global exchange of information in the areas of outreach and knowledge of our journal, through the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Noderivs 4.0 International license.

The authors of articles shall preserve their patrimonial and moral rights, being responsible for them, for that reason they do not compromise neither the principles or policies of at the Universidad Libre, nor those of the Editorial Board. The authors must sign an authorization and attach to the article Format of originality and assignment of rights, which specifies the right that has Avances: Investigación en Ingeniería and, therefore, the Universidad Libre, to reproduce the article in the printed publication as well as in electronics, without any kind of economic remuneration or commitment of the University, This is understood as a contribution by the author (a) to the dissemination of knowledge and/or technological, cultural or scientific development of the community or the country. After, the article is published, it can be reproduced without authorization, mentioning author (s), title, year, volume, number and rank of pages of the publication, and as source: Avances: Investigación en Ingeniería.

Open Access Declaration (Green Open Access)

The journal Avances Investigación en Ingeniería adopts an open access policy under the modality in which the author deposits his article, once accepted, to be published on the journal's website, without the need to pay editing or publication costs (Article Publishing Charge – APC); These costs are assumed by the Free University, who is the sponsor of the journal.
