Abstract

This article aims at describing how the understanding of the conditions that made possible the formation of subjectivity and the poetic appropriation of the world, based on the literary phenomenon, by a group of high schoolers took place. For such a purpose, the study was run under the qualitative method, with a descriptive-interpretive approach and by using a hermeneutical phenomenology design. The population was a group of 147, 15-to-18-year-old students from a public high school. Direct observation, anecdotal writing, and interviews were the experiential data collection activities carried out, all framed in an innovative pedagogical resource called poetic experiences. The most outstanding results account for effects not only on the teacher-researcher, but also on the participating students. The reaffirmation of the literary phenomenon, as a valuable aspect in the learning process, was possible due to the hermeneutical phenomenology approach applied, since it allowed to see the meaning of a text not as something fixed or finished, but rather as something for the reader to constitute its meaning, while he constitutes himself in it and appropriates the world.
