This work shows the design and con-struction of a rail of air with optical sensor, used in the realization practic-es of kinematics. In the design and construction of this equipment include essentially two components, one mechanical and one electronic. In re-gard to the mechanical aspect de-scribes the construction of the air track which moves a mobile, and the electronic part describes the development of the instrumentation required to measure automatically the time that a mobile moves between two positions, from the use of two optical sensors which perform functions activate and deactivate the timer
