The main objective of this research was to design a system to maintain relative humidity and temperature within comfort indexes in a Orellanas production facility of the company Orellanas con sentido social, with the support of Universidad Nacional de Colombia’s SIPAF research team. According to literature, an orellana raising facility must have a relative humidity between 85% to 95% and a temperature between 15°C to 20 °C. Similarly, in an incubation room these values must be between 60 to 75% and 20 to 25 °C in average, respectively. At the company where the research was conducted, these values were under the standard with a slow production time for this crop. For this reason, it was necessary to carry out an analysis and an intervention to improve the current state.
