Abstract

This paper describes the design of a DWDM system the speed of 40 Gb/s and subsequently presents the comparative results obtained through simulation between the reception level using direct detection or incoherent and coherent detection, taking into account parameters power, receiver sensitivity, distance, scattering coefficient and how to counter non-linear effects such as SPM and CD in each path comprising the span or communication channel fibers DC evaluated Allwave Anomalous and determining between the two forms of detection which present a better performance in terms of BER and Q factor
