This research deals with the teaching-learning process control process in the Mechanical Engineering Program of the Universidad Libre, focused on the line of research in the area of Automation and Robotics, which is carried out specifically in the curriculum , using a transversal pedagogical model with articulation towards formative and applied research. Initially, students start with the subject called Electrical Installations that are thematic related to electrical circuits and their applications, for which they must perform simulations with programs that are used in the productive sectors, and then; These subjects are strengthened through other subjects of this line such as: Electrical Machines, Automatic Regulation and Control, which subsequently, are specified through innovative degree option projects, which allow to develop the control processes in an automated way . The professional profile is directed towards these areas in order to improve the activities of the productive sectors, transforming learning styles and techniques in the students, strengthening the scientific, technical and humanistic competences with training towards a quality education, which allows them to be competitive and that they are open to new challenges in industrial environments by improving their professional profile with value in the national and international labor market, giving contribution to technology, quality management and productivity of Engineering in Colombia. In that order of ideas, the mechanical engineer graduated from the Universidad Libre has a focus on process control, automation and robotics, without losing that differentiating factor for mechanical design, maintenance and materials with their studies and applications, as part of their academic training.
