Meaning of the work in the university professorship

The transformations generated in the working world, have changed their terms and their meanings, which led to wonder what is the current meaning that teachers give to their work? and generated aimed at finding the central concepts of this. It is for this reason that a sample of 43 university teachers was applied a macro-questionnaire (QPW-5) which included stops on Conditions of Work, Labor Welfare General, Burnout and Engagement, where a mixed methodology or analysis was conducted qualitative quantified from a textual analysis and multiple correspondence specifically Item 16 of QPW-5 and a semi-structured interview where he deepened about words related to the meanings of work. The information obtained was able to demonstrate negative positive conceptions related more to the role, related to working conditions (stress, exhaustion, overload) and problematic and ambiguous situations they are faced university faculty on the stage of the New Public Management.
