The presentation traces the configuration of patriarchy as a Foucauldian dispositif of power. For Segato, patriarchy is an intricate network of elements present in societies, while Foucault conceptualizes dispositifs as networks of relations between heterogeneous elements that enable the circulation and consolidation of power. By exploring the links between these approaches, the presentation reveals how these power structures intertwine and perpetuate, deeply embedding themselves in the social fabric. This analysis offers an understanding of the persistence of patriarchy, highlighting its ability to adapt and reinforce itself over time.
