Editorial. They may have scientific or opinion content. Scientific editorials represent a rigorous update or an interesting clarification on a certain scientific topic. Opinion editorials are those that collect points of view or social and behavioral positions of the scientific community on a topic of common interest to researchers and engineering professionals.

The editorials will be commissioned by the Editorial Committee of the Ingeniare magazine, always using the authors with the most experience in the aspects to be dealt with. They will have a maximum length of 3 pages and may include up to 4 figures or tables.

  • Research paper. A document that presents the original and unpublished production, derived from research or review processes under strict ethical commitment. Research papers are subclassified as follows:

 

  • Scientific and Technological Research Paper: A document that comprehensively presents the original results of completed research projects. The typical structure used consists of six important sections: Summary, Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion and Conclusions.

 

  • Review paper: A document resulting from a completed research where the results of published or unpublished investigations on a field of science or technology are discussed, systematized and integrated, in order to account for the advances and development trends. It is characterized by providing a careful literature review of at least 50 references.

 

  • Short paper: A brief document that presents preliminary or partial original results of scientific or technological research, which generally require quick disclosure.
