Abstract

The Project is carried out in the town of San José de Saco, municipality of Juan de Acosta (Atlántico). It is about the design of a self-sufficient, sustainable and ecological integral farm in a two (2) hectare land, selected for its quality of soil, availability and experience of the owner, potability of the water and resources of the available environment. It is intended to integrate various items of agricultural production (vegetables, corn, cassava, fruit trees, pastures and medicinal plants) and livestock (chickens, rabbits, pigs, goats and cattle) that alternately guarantee self-sustainability, generating a cycle in which the component agricultural benefits from livestock and vice versa. Through a process developed by the lombricultivo soil is fertilized. From the financial point of view, the Project is viable and feasible, since the expenses are minimal and a small capital is available to cover initial investment expenses. The coverage of the demand for food in quality and quantity is guaranteed for the needs of the resident family and the farm as a whole. A crop rotation plan is recommended to avoid loss of soil fertility.
