Abstract

This research deals with the teaching-learning process of Mechanical Engineering, focused within the framework of social projection enriched with a Chair of Entrepreneurship that the Universidad Libre performs in an interdisciplinary way, where students initially attend it, and then; These competences are concretized through a project that must be innovative in approaching the student towards social entrepreneurship, whose foundation requires a technical approach. The students of the Mechanical Engineering program carried out an investigation related to the plastic handling of bottles discarded by consumers who initially have a disposition for their collection, and then, can be transformed for later use, through special equipment designed by The participating students as derived raw material, resulting in environmental improvements contributing with elements that can be used as by-products for the industry. With a technical methodology of technological transformation in each phase, whose results were presented in the VII ELEVATOR PITCH, as a model of entrepreneurship and whose implementation is the orientation of the participating students, improving the skills in the area of Mechanical Engineering, Specifically in the Design and Management of Materials as a contribution to technology and to the commitment to the development of Engineering in Colombia.
