Artificial intelligence: A facilitating tool for a culture of peace

Abstract

Introduction: This article examines the use of artificial intelligence (AI) as a tool to foster a culture of peace in educational and social contexts.

Objective: To demonstrate how AI can be applied to conflict prevention and resolution, as well as to the education of children and adolescents in the values of peaceful coexistence.

Method: A literature review and theoretical analysis were conducted, drawing on expert authors in peace studies and artificial intelligence, as well as international experiences with the use of artificial intelligence.

Results: It is demonstrated that artificial intelligence has great potential to anticipate risks through data analysis, design intervention strategies, and support educational processes that promote mediation, cooperation, and mutual respect.

Conclusion: It is argued that artificial intelligence does not replace human action, but rather enhances it. When applied critically, ethically, and inclusively, it constitutes a strategic tool for promoting positive peace, equity, and sustainable development.
