REVIEWAbstract
The starting point of Doctor Padrón revolves around the question what is scientific research, based on the fact that you cannot teach something that is not known, because how researchers can be trained if they are unknown what the research processes are, so it requires a theory for such processes, which allows us to understand the way in which new knowledge is generated. This theory, in the thought of Doctor Padrón, revolves around concepts such as what is cognitive, research, science, and what is theory, creating a cognitive theory of scientific research.
For this purpose, it is necessary to define some concepts and relate them to answer the question: How does theory relate to cognition, research and science? To address this he defines a family of concepts, such as methodology, philosophy of science and epistemology. Doctor Padrón states that the methodology, which has been regularly taken as a starting point for research, is more an obstacle to it, and points out that it does not consider it a reference for the construction of a research theory
